". . .Some 50 of the more than 400 arrested in Thursday's mass arrest of Berkeley demonstrators were seated in the bus. This reporter, who found himself trapped in the closing cordon of police and guardsmen and later in the mechanical formal arrests in a Berkeley parking lot, was among them. . ." 

Description:Findley covered the 1969 "Battle of Berkeley," the People's Park demonstrations, and ended up at Santa Rita with many of those apprehended in a mass arrest of demonstrators. Findley withheld his identity as a reporter and slipped his credentials to a colleague as he got on the prison-bound bus.
